My Review
When Rebekah reached out to me I was beyond excited for two reasons. First off, I love to showcase and support indie deck creators. Supporting them helps keep unique voices in the spiritual community thriving. Secondly I have been looking for a shadow work oracle deck for both personal use and to use for readings for my patrons. This deck would be a helpful guide when you’re working through your shadows, but also I have found that it can offer support when you’re facing transitions or emotional upheaval.
“The Path Through the Dark Night of the Soul” offers a couple of things that I feel are unique when it comes to oracle decks. The first one is the fact that Rebekah has included a section in the guidebook that offers brief meanings for the 22 major arcana cards from the Rider-Waite deck that can be used as additional support for your shadow journey. This is a wonderful compliment to her oracle cards to bring forth an even deeper reading.
The other thing that I found to be unique that I am personally loving is the fact that the guidebook includes detailed information regarding the dark night of the soul. This includes information on the 3 stages—Awareness, Acceptance, and Action. This aspect makes it so that this deck would work for you whether you are just starting on your path through the dark night of the soul or you have been on your shadow work journey for years.
Of course the guidebook also includes messages for each of the 41 oracle cards. They are listed in alphabetical order to make it easy to find what you are looking for. Some card messages are only a couple of sentences. Some are longer paragraph.
The cards are thin and flexible with a satin finish. They have a smooth glide when shuffling and don’t tend to stick together. The cards feel flexible but sturdy and spring back nicely. I found them very easy to riffle shuffle. Each card includes an easy-to-read keyword for that card on either the top or bottom of the card. Looking through Rebekah’s artwork you can see the thoughts and energy that she has put into each one. I feel that readers will be able to intuitively pick up on additional messages from the artwork.
I am personally excited to work on my own shadow work journey with this deck by my side.
